I've been there, the bloating, the swelling, the cankles...I don't think I ever glowed to be honest. But looking back I wish I had put my insecurities aside and took more photographs regardless of how I felt I looked. So here are my top 5 reasons to photograph your bump:

1 - You won't get this time back

 

Whether this is your first pregnancy or third it's still a special time you will never get back. We can't turn back the clock and believe me as time goes on your memories will fade. So document this time - you will never regret taking too many photographs. Life is just a blur at times. So let's keep these memories alive. This moment definitely deserves professional photography just like any other important occasion.

2 - Your children

 

Your children will love these photographs and they will also love the stories behind the photos you have taken. These photographs don't just have to benefit you they can also benefit your children. They are part of the journey too.

3 - Self love

​

Now is the perfect time to be indulgent. Love and treat yourself. Get your hair done, or a manicure/pedicure.  A photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to get all dressed up and celebrate yourself. We often forget the miracle that is pregnancy. So celebrate your body, and focus on the life you are creating.

Strengthen the bond between yourself and your partner. You've both made a new life together. The photographs you take give you the opportunity to reflect on your relationship's journey. You're about to enter parenthood together, now is the time to slow down and cherish each other as your lives will never be the same again.

5 - Reveal the sex or name of your child

A professional maternity session can be a fun way to announce either the sex or the name of your child - or even both. There are so many fun and creative ways to announce your little one's name or sex to the world and I would love to take part and assist you.
